Making decorations, working on the basement, making a tree safe after winter storms, and watching deer in the fields. We also had to do a second re-application to stay because of the UK exiting from the EU. We found the second process quite different from the first. We submitted on time, but in hindsight, we would not get an answer until mid May. The pedestrian areas had a lot of ice and I purchased shoes with spikes on the soles, after slipping about 3 times on ice in one day. Persistent ice is a rare hazard in UK cities - depending on where you are, you might only see snow every 5-8 years, and sheets of ice dont stay long. That's quite different in sweden where the ice becomes a permanent layer and winter tyres are a legal requirement. Slipping on ice is usually funny in a comic or in a film, but falling onto ice was painful (I hit the deck hard, and ice has no give at all, and has stones sticking out of it) and left me injured for a few days. I always wore the spiky shoes after this, although the spikes did put dents all over the wooden steps to the house.
