Although we were trying to get a lot done in the garden, July was sometimes too hot to work outside. I did a basement painting project just to be somewhere cool. After injuring my back last month it was awesome when a little digger came to deliver the woodchips for a side-path and had time to cut the turf for the major path as well. The digger sloped the paths perfectly, made it an even width, and piled all the earth up neatly. It must have saved one to three months of digging by hand. We also visited the nearest city to be fingerprinted for residency, and I took the long term decision to invest in a Solar array, which will take about 9 years to pay for itself.
